In August 1849, Karl Marx, a prominent socialist leader and philosopher from Western Germany, arrived in London with his family. They stayed at Leicester House Hotel, where Marx began writing his influential work, "Das Kapital." They lived there for three months until 1850. This suite features a king-size bed and a bathroom with ceramic floors, separate bathtub and walk-in shower. It has wooden floors, a mini-bar with free water, a coffee machine, a kettle, tea and coffee. The room has 1 sofa bed, an armchair and a work desk.

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel in central London and had a fantastic experience! The location was perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to all the major attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any request. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment after a long day of exploring the city - it truly made my stay memorable and enjoyable!

The Hotel Receptionist was lovely. Greeted us with a smile and also allowed us to check in early as our room had already been cleaned. Was given a lovely room on the 5th floor with a view towards the BT tower. Possibly the cleanest room in London that I've ever stayed in and Housekeeping reacted very quickly when we asked for some more tea bags and milk.

The rooms were spotless, very clean. The hotel is very centrally located, a few minutes to any attraction in Soho, and very close to transport lines. The staff was especially kind and helpful. Very impressed overall.
